WINDY DAYS PORTRAITS è un progetto fotografico ispirato alle illustrazioni americane degli anni ’50, in particolare allo straordinario lavoro di John Philip Falter (1910-1982) , che sulle pagine di The Saturday Evening Post disegnò la società americana per oltre vent’anni.

In WINDY DAYS PORTRAITS l’autore ha cercato di creare un mondo immaginario, inseguendo ricordi di posti mai visti, non reali, ma sognati. Se è vero che la macchina fotografica è il mezzo artistico che più di tutti può restituire la realtà in modo fedele, in questo lavoro l’autore è andato nella direzione opposta, sfuggendo al realismo a tutti i costi.

I colori sono finalmente arrivati a rasserenare gli animi, così come il vento giocoso che fa da filo conduttore in questo progetto composto da 10 opere a tiratura limitata.

WINDY DAYS PORTRAITS is a photographic project inspired by American illustrations from the 1950’s, in particular by the extraordinary work of John Philip Falter (1910-1982), who portrayed the American society on the pages of The Saturday Evening Post for over twenty years

In WINDY DAYS PORTRAITS the author tried to create an imaginary world, chasing after memories of places that are not real, places he has never seen, but dreamed of. If it is true that a camera is the artistic tool that is best suited to faithfully reproduce reality, with this project, the author has moved in the opposite direction, avoiding realism at all costs.

Colors have finally appeared to soothe the soul, and so has the playful wind which is a common thread that runs through the whole project, composed of 10 limited-edition prints.
